Bad News & Good News

I always like saving the good news for last so I will start with the bad. I am sick. Today is the second day I have not been at work and hopefully it will be the last. I am starting to feel better or at least I have more energy than I did yesterday so that is good. Please, keep me in your prayers.

Now for some good news or at least it is good for me. Soon, it will be my birthday (29th) and my Mommy sent me money for an iPod nano. It was not enough to pay for all of it but it was most of it. Heather also paid some towards the nano. So, between the two of them I got my nano. It came yesterday in the mail. So, I have had time (when not in bed) to play with it. So a big thank you goes out to my mommy and heather for a cool birthday present.

That is about it for now. I am just hanging out at home trying to feel better. I hope all of you are doing well.

Yard Work

Why is it that so many people love to work in their yard? Is it the pride they feel when others look at their freshly cut grass and trimmed bushes? Or could it be just the simple satisfaction of seeing your yard grow up? I am not sure why I like to do yard work. Maybe God just made me that way. Of course there are those that hate yard work or doing any type of outside work. I can't help but feel sorry for those people. I feel as if they are missing out on a simple pleasure. They may feel the only thing they are missing out on is a sun burn and sore back which may be true. I guess this will be just another conversation that I will have to have with God. Update

Thought I would give everyone an update. My graduate classes are all but over. I have turned in all my papers so all that I have to do is show up. This is harder than you think some nights. We have entered into the last six weeks of the year at work. Track has about two and a half weeks left. The kids are starting to go a little nutty, but my 7^th graders are doing well. 8^th graders are another story all together. There has been some speculation on me coaching next year, and that is not going to happen. I may try and work a deal with the high school and still scout for them next year, but that is about it. Other than that I am just trying to make it till July and our vacation too Germany. I will be teaching summer school (month of June) and taking 6 hours of graduate class (June) as well. Hope, you all are doing well.
