Good weekend

Well, it is monday morning and I am not at work...........this week has started off great!!!!!! To bad I have to go to the doctors. Oh, well I had a great weekend in Abliene

The morning was fun and I actually saw people I know.........weird. The football game was pretty good as well. Too many mistakes Wildcats or it would have been much better. Tech won, putting them into the top 10 teams in the nation. The musical was okay this year. I give it 3 out of 5 stars. Last years I would give 4 out of 5. It does get some points for not going till midnight, but it was hard for me to get into. I liked the black light stuff and parts were funny. I guess it was worth missing "one of the grest college football games ever" as stated by an ESPN writer. That would be the ND and USC game.

I really like what the parent-in-laws are doing with the house, it is going to be pretty nice when it is all done.

I also, was able to see my parents and get my Grandfather Ratliff's desk. Not sure how old it is but I think it is from the 50's. Going to start work on it in about a week and a half. (football's over)

4 Quick points

1. Ever notice that on Wednesday night all the ladies end up in the same class together while their husbands end up walking around church, going from class to class usually ending up hanging out with their friends. (or it could just be me)

2. Isn't it great that Wednesday can be the longest day of the week at work, even getting creative names like "hump day" (my personal favorite) yet still I go to bed at night with a smile on my face while most other nights just pass on by. Wonder why that is?

3. Who decided that we should meet on Wednesday nights? Why not Thursday or Tuesday?

4. Acts 3:11-16 makes me wonder if when the time comes will I stand up for my God or will I sit in silence, too afraid that I might offend or upset someone.

Oh, and I love my wife..............she rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me take this time to brag on my Jenni-in-law (that is sister-in-law to most). What can I say about Jenni? She has been such a help to me over the past year. She is really sneaky and is a great help in planning secret fun stuff for my wife. I am very lucky to have a Jenni-in-law like her. So, thanks Jenni for all that you do for your family, friends, and most of all me your Phillip-in-law :)

Day off

Why is it when ever we have a "day off" we often spend that off time doing more work than we would on a work day? Is it that in our endless pursuit for rest and peace we end up chasing our tails and never catching them? I often wonder if God watch's us and laughs. As I do when my dog chases his tail. I have a wonderful life, but I often wonder how it all is going to get done.
