Nice

This morning while my summer school P.E. students were on the track walking I watched a grandfather and grandson(9 or 10 years old) together. They started off like my students, walking around the track, but afterwards they played catch. It is not something that you see much of any more. They brought their ball, gloves, and a bat for a fun morning together. Most of the times these days it seems like every kid is being groomed to be the next big sports superstar. Every throw or catch is broken down and the kids is taught how to be the best. To watch a grandfather and grandson just play a little catch and then watch the grandfather hit the ball to his grandson was a nice for me. Something very peacefull about it.
