Weekend Fun
We had a productive but very busy weekend. On Saturday we decided to explore a little so we drove east to Santa Anna and had lunch (at the Line Shack) the food was good, but one thing we will miss about the metroplex is the no smoking in public areas. After lunch we walked around the town and visited some shops. There were more shops there than we thought, it was fun. After that we came home, and worked on unpacking for the rest of the day.
Sunday, we visited the Elm Street Church of Christ in Coleman. It went pretty good, there were (I’m guessing) around 200 people there. We will go back next week and spend a little more time. After church we drove to Abilene and met Heather’s parents for lunch, then spent the afternoon at Lowes and Wal-mart. But before we set off for shopping we stopped and visted Heathers garndfather. Howard is so cute with Emily or I sould say they are cute together. Then we were off to Lowes where I got a great deal on a new storm door for our house. A lady and custom ordered a door and returned it, and it just happened to be the size we needed so we got at discount of $120 on it. After Lowes and Wal-mart, we hurried back to the in-laws house for their small group from church. There were quite a few people there and we had dinner. Emily did get a little upset; I think all the moving round during the day finally got to her.
We are now home and very tired. Bed here we come.
